For manufacturers serving the defense supply chain, CMMC requirements depend on the relevant contract and information-system scope. Surya's fit review identifies which supported products can contribute, the technical responsibilities Surya would own, and the records available for that scope.
As a Vanta partner, Surya supports automated reporting from every product into your compliance workflow. Where a third-party CMMC assessment is required, Surya can arrange an appropriate independent assessor relationship as part of your product scope.
Where the required assessment calls for a C3PAO, the relationship is with an authorized C3PAO. The assessor conducts the evaluation and reaches its own conclusions; neither Surya nor Vanta is the certifying authority. CMMC is not a requirement for every manufacturer.

A practical scenario.
A supported workstation fails during a shift. The authorized replacement process restores the agreed working setup and records custody of both devices. If Endpoint is purchased, the supported workstation returns under the approved protection and access standard.
Recovery preserves the security controls. It does not replace or reprogram production machinery.

Surya owns the qualified infrastructure and handling scope. Production processes, machinery function, safety systems, and control logic remain with the organization and the responsible equipment vendors.
