/ Guide / Site network
Managed network services, specified and operated as one system.
In a plant or a clinic the site network carries the work: the line's computing, the front desk, check-in and the systems behind them all depend on it. When it fails, work at the site stops.
Buyers searching for managed network services usually want one party accountable for that network. Surya answers with a product: Surya Fabric, the complete network system for the agreed sites, specified, installed, tested and then operated by Surya to one released standard.
/ How it is run
Ruth at a plant and Theo at a clinic run the site network, backed by spares from the supply chain at the Surya RTP Distribution Center. See how the work gets done →
/ What it covers
One network system per site, specified and operated by Surya.
One defined system for the agreed sites, from equipment through ongoing operation: edge, switching, Wi-Fi, segmentation and connectivity on one released profile; Surya specifies, configures and operates the site network; the equipment, licensing and circuits are on your paper, through Surya or your current source,, installed and tested before the site runs on it, then maintained with a tested recovery procedure.
- Surya specifies, configures and operates the site network; the equipment, licensing and circuits are on your paper, through Surya or your current source
- Installation and pre-operation testing of the specified system
- Segmentation and allowed paths from the shared specification
- Connectivity, with a tested alternate path where the selected profile includes one
- Network inventory, firmware lifecycle and configuration protection
- Replacement of a supported component without the original designer
/ How it starts
Specified, installed and tested before the site runs on it.
Starting Surya Fabric means managing the existing network in place or moving the site to the standard kit. Surya sets the standard configuration, installs and tests it before the site operates on it, and then maintains its performance, security and recovery. Site readiness, structured cabling, building power, carrier accounts and repair, and production machinery keep their existing owners. The standard kit and its spare set are purchased by you as a separate one-time transaction, on your paper; deployment and monthly rates do not include equipment.
Unmet prerequisites move the start, not the finish line.
The 30-day installation period is a target. It starts when the readiness prerequisites are met, not at signature, and completes when the acceptance tests pass. Acceptance tests →
The network is accepted against its own tests. Inventory matches the installation; required business paths succeed; prohibited cross-segment access is denied; the approved configuration can be restored; losing each included path produces the declared result.
/ How it is operated
The agent answers first. Engineers take the rest.
For operated products, support is included: a defined support path for supported users, plus supported vendor escalation with named owners. Surya engineers work three shifts, 365 days a year, and the Surya Agent Network takes the first response on 78% of support requests (90 days to September 2026). Response commitments for your scope are set in your written proposal.
Inside Surya Endpoint and Surya Fabric, the Agent Network works under Surya Control: routine, allowlisted operations run under your standing policy; privilege grants, destructive actions and broad policy changes wait for your named owner.
/ When equipment fails
Recovery is a tested procedure.
Network recovery returns the approved configuration, and losing each included path produces a declared result.
Within the site-network product, Surya Standby provides the prepared physical recovery layer. Replacements for qualified switches, firewalls, access points and edge appliances are prepared to the agreed configuration and held in an existing secure onsite room or cage with the custody tracking specified for the agreed configuration, including RFID where confirmed, and retrieved by designated staff.
A prepared replacement covers device failure, not an application outage, an identity outage, a power loss or every network fault.
/ The boundary
What is in scope, and what stays outside it.
The supported site-network scope written into your agreement, not every system that connects to it. A single connection is not sold as redundant. Site readiness, structured cabling, building power, carrier accounts and carrier repair, and production machinery stay outside Surya's control. Equipment ownership and commercial terms are set out in the written proposal and agreement.
OT and CPS security with Claroty is a separate purchase that works on the network you already run. Surya Fabric adds a standardized site network that Surya specifies, configures and operates, with the equipment, licensing and circuits on your paper, with segmentation and approved access policies applied under Surya's responsibility to the network components in Fabric scope.
Surya does not perform PLC programming, ladder logic, process engineering, controls engineering, production engineering or machinery optimization, and does not take responsibility for production equipment or its safety systems. Claroty licensing is a customer requirement where the OT capability is in scope.
We work up to the port, not past it. Surya covers the technology that supports the clinical device: the workstation, printer, network connection and supported computing layer. The clinical device itself remains under the authority of the healthcare organization and its medical-equipment vendor unless separately qualified and contracted.
Inside your compliance boundary
A site network whose configuration an auditor can read.
- Set to policy:
- segmentation, administrative access, the change window, the dashboard organization admin held by you.
- Recorded:
- A configuration record at handover; a change record for every change after.
- Evidenced:
- Where Surya Endpoint is in place, the configuration record and change evidence go into your compliance platform.
/ What a site buys
Managed network services, bought as a product.
What a site buys from Surya is Surya Fabric: a recurring subscription plus a fixed deployment fee for the declared scope, a network system on the customer's paper that Surya specifies, configures and operates, a released standard that every site runs, and acceptance tests with the evidence recorded. Surya Control operates inside it and is not a separate purchase.
- No hourly engineering.
- No consulting blocks or retainers.
- No named-resource or per-engineer pricing.
- No charge for access to people.
Surya Fabric can be bought on its own, and buying it does not automatically require Surya Endpoint. Single-site organizations are not excluded. Figures are confirmed in a written quote against a declared scope.
