Device Logistics · Pricing

$5,000 a month buys the machine. Then pay per movement.

Platform access wires your ITSM to our RTP logistics floor — event subscriptions, chain of custody, same-day dispatch, standing capacity. Every laptop that moves is billed at a published rate. Your invoice is an audit trail of actual movements, not a subscription to headcount.

/ Policies

Freight ships on your FedEx or UPS account.

We never mark up shipping — we never even touch the freight bill. Every label runs on your account at your negotiated rates.

Parts at cost.

Repair parts, packaging materials, and consumables pass through at our invoice price, supplier invoice attached. We charge for work, not for goods.

/ Capabilities

What the platform delivers

  • 01

/ Meter

The lifecycle meter

Every laptop that moves is billed at a published rate. This is the whole rate card.

Branding & kitting add-on +$25 / unit (materials at cost)

02 · Retrieve

Offboarding — box & retrieve

$95 / unit

Return kit out, prepaid label on your carrier account, recovery chase to receipt.

03 · Receive

Receiving & induction

$10 / unit

Scan, custody record, condition triage, disposition call.

04 · Wipe

Secure wipe — every unit received

$15 / unit

NIST 800-88 with certificate.

05a · Reprovision

In lifecycle → reprovision-ready

$75 / unit

Clean, repair triage, re-image, back to deployable stock.

05b · Recycle

Out of lifecycle → recycle/reclaim handoff

$20 / unit

Pack, palletize & manifest to your recycle or reclaim vendor, per your disposition strategy.

06 · Storage

Storage

$8 / laptop / mo

Secure inventory hold, asset-tracked.

Every laptop that enters our facility is wiped and certified before anything else happens to it. That's not an option you select — it's how the chain of custody works.

Volume pricing applies above 100 units/mo. Mass events — M&A waves, intern classes, seasonal surges, fleet refreshes — run at these same unit rates, scheduled as projects; project management at $200/hr.

/ Repair Bench

The repair bench

Units triaged at receiving that need component work go to the bench. Labor is flat-rate and published. Parts are passed through at cost and billed as a separate line — always, with the part invoice attached.

Keyboard replacement$75 / unit
Touchpad replacement$85 / unit
LCD / display replacement$95 / unit
  • Bench diagnosis is included in Receiving & induction — no separate diag fee when the unit proceeds to repair.
  • Repairs beyond published SKUs (board-level, liquid damage) are quoted per unit before work begins; approve or decline in the portal.
  • If labor + parts exceeds 50% of replacement value, we flag it and recommend disposition instead. You decide.

/ Field Services

The last hundred feet

Shipping ends at your dock. Field service ends at the desk, logged in, old unit already in our van. Same techs who run our bench, in our trucks, at published rates — hands are metered like everything else here.

The field meter

Onsite hands — delivery or swap

+$95 / first unit

+$45 / each additional unit, same stop

Applies on top of any outbound movement — kit & ship or a coverage swap. Delivered, docked, peripherals connected, login verified. Departing unit retrieved on the same visit (retrieval bills its published rate). No published line changes; this line adds.

Field visit — scheduled

$185 / visit

Desk moves, peripheral and printer installs, conference room work — a defined task at a defined time. The visit fee covers the stated purpose.

Onsite time beyond the stated purpose

Field tech $95 / hour

Senior field tech $125 / hour

half-hour increments

"While you're here" is fine — it just isn't free. Additional work bills hourly, approved in the ticket before the clock starts — tier printed in the approval. The rate you approve is the rate that bills. Senior-tier work is defined by task, not by who shows up: rack and structured cabling, AV and control systems, escalation revisits — or any visit where you ask for a senior by name. Anything requiring engineering judgment escalates to the $200/hr engineering line — a field tech's hands never substitute for an engineer's decisions, at any rate.

Zones — geography, priced honestly

ZONE 1 — within 25 miles of a Surya depotpublished rates, same or next business day
ZONE 2 — 25 to 75 miles+$50 / visit, scheduled
ZONE 3 — beyond 75 milesquoted, planned as projects

When enough Zone 3 demand clusters in one metro, we don't raise prices — we open a depot, and your surcharge becomes a rate cut. Field demand is literally how we decide where to build next.

Onsite Response Coverage

+$3 / covered user / month

requires Device Response Coverage · Zone 1 sites

DRC puts a configured spare on a truck the same business day. Onsite Response Coverage puts a technician at the desk with it: next-business-day onsite response for covered users at Zone 1 sites. The coverage fee is the standing promise; visits still bill the field meter. There is no all-you-can-eat tier — unmetered labor is the disease this company was built to cure, and we're not catching it on purpose.

Field services cover end-user compute and peripherals. Network edge onsite work is priced inside your certified template — one truck roll never has two prices. Zone 1 SLAs exist because routes are dense; overage approval in-ticket is what keeps them dense.

Committed Flow · Enterprise

Committed Flow

We baseline your routine joiner/leaver volume and fix it into one predictable monthly fee — access, provisioning, recovery, wipe, storage, all in. Mass events (M&A, interns, seasonal, refresh waves) stay metered at published rates. Volume collar: baseline ±15%, re-priced annually.

This is how a 4,000-employee national professional services firm runs on Surya today.

/ Device Response Coverage

Device Response Coverage

The per-user layer, priced like insurance — because it is.

$4 / covered user / month

volume: $3 above 2,500 users · floor $400/mo · requires platform access

What the fee maintains

  • Configured spare pool sized to your covered population (4%, min 5 units), imaged, enrolled, security-baselined, re-imaged when your build changes
  • Same-business-day swap dispatch: ITSM events by 2:00 PM ET ship same day
  • Priority through the repair bench to replenish the pool from recoveries
  • Low-stock alerts and pool health in the portal

What still bills on the meter

  • swap outbound$135
  • retrieval$95
  • receiving$10
  • wipe$15
  • reprovision$75
  • pool storage$8/unit/mo
  • onsite hands+$95

The coverage fee is the standing promise; the meter is the work.

Cover a whole population or a whole HRIS-defined segment (100-user minimum) — never a hand-picked list. The same-day promise exists because the pool exists.

Included at no charge for every user on an AI Service Ops seat.

Misses credit 10% of that month's coverage fee, capped at 50%. Covered-user count trues up quarterly from your HRIS feed.

/ Network Edge

The network edge runs on a different clock

Laptops move constantly; we meter the movement. Edge devices sit still for years — and their stillness is where the value is: config held to a golden template, a configured spare staged, same-day dispatch when a site goes dark. No two edge architectures are alike, so we don't publish a per-site price. We publish the process that produces your price.

01DISCOVER

A paid site and architecture survey: what's at your sites, what should be. Billed at $200/hr with a not-to-exceed quote before we start. The output is your template — the unknown is the deliverable, not your risk.

02CERTIFY

The survey produces a certified template class: bill of materials, golden configuration, spare-stack definition — and your per-site coverage rate, fixed for the term and printed on the certification itself. The engineering document and the quote are the same document.

03RUN

Certified per-site coverage keeps the standard alive: template compliance, configured spares staged at RTP, same-business-day dispatch on failure. Rare events bill on the edge meter. Template changes trigger re-certification — your rate never drifts silently.

A wiped laptop and a sanitized firewall are not the same act — one destroys a disk, the other destroys the map of your network, with a certificate to prove it. The meter prices the device class honestly. And a staged spare isn't storage: a unit held config-synced to your golden template is warm inventory with labor in it, and it lives inside your certified coverage rate, not on the storage line.

Every edge device that enters the facility has its configuration, secrets, and keys destroyed and certified before anything else happens to it. Same rule as laptops — that's the chain of custody.

We don't publish a per-site edge price because we'd be guessing at your architecture. We publish the process that produces your price — and once your template is certified, your rate is fixed and printed on it.

  • — Survey fee: 50% credited against your first year of edge coverage if you proceed within 90 days of certification.
  • — Sites that can't be templated are handled as quoted T&M — we run standards; we don't publish prices for exceptions.
  • — Robot and cobot commissioning is per-unit quoted project work — see the manufacturing page.
  • — OT security sensors (Claroty, Nozomi Networks) integrate into certified templates — licensing on your paper, integration at $200/hr.

Model descriptions sourced from each vendor's public pricing and product pages as of July 2026. We compare models, not rumors — verify everything, including us.

The honest version: below ~500 employees, the per-seat math and ours land close. Above that, seats you pay for stop moving laptops — and our meter doesn't bill what doesn't move.
