IT Hardware Lifecycle Management

Your image and your process, executed at scale.

Your IT team owns the gold image (the approved standard setup every machine gets), the security baseline, the patch policy, and the compatibility engineering. We run it — from our national hub in Research Triangle Park, with on-site spare pools staged at your sites and every device tracked by serial number at every handoff. Imaging, kitting, same-day ship on failure, recovery, certified data erasure (NIST 800-88), and IT asset disposition (ITAD) — secure wipe, resale, or certified destruction of retired devices.

/ Capabilities

What the platform physically executes.

01

Image, kit, ship — to your build

We image to the gold build your team validates, kit peripherals to your spec, and ship direct to the employee. We do not build or validate the image — that is your IT team's authority. We execute it, at scale, on every unit.

02

On-site spare pools at your sites

A pre-imaged spare pool sized to your covered population, staged at your site. Restocked from the RTP hub on a cadence you can plan against. Same-day swap on failure — no procurement clock.

03

Recovery with serialized custody

Prepaid return kits, guided workflows, and a chase-to-receipt process. Every unit tracked by serial number end-to-end.

04

NIST 800-88 sanitization

Every recovered unit sanitized to NIST 800-88 with a certificate on file against the serial. Redeploy, refurbish, or certified destruction.

05

ITAD and value reclaim

Certified destruction where required. Remarketing where possible — proceeds return to you, often net-positive against disposal cost.

06

Field services — billed by the hour (time and materials)

Field techs for site work — rack and structured cabling, AV, install visits — billed by the hour (time and materials, T&M) at a published field-services rate. Judgment work escalates to your engineering team, not to ours.

/ Who owns what

Two things never move. One thing you choose.

In every program, the physical operation is ours and the running estate is yours. Those never change. The only question is who owns the build — and both answers are first-class here.

Always Surya — the physical operation

  • Imaging, enrollment, and kitting to the ratified build
  • Same-day dispatch from the RTP hub and on-site spare pools
  • Recovery, chain of custody, certified data erasure (NIST 800-88), IT asset disposition
  • Serialized inventory and evidence sign-back into your IT ticketing system (ITSM)

Always you — the running estate

  • Patch policy, security baseline, and compliance sign-off
  • Identity, access, and your help desk
  • ITSM system of record, Intune / Autopilot / Entra tenants

/ The build — your choice

Path — your team maintains the build

You engineer the endpoint. We run the physical operation.

Your gold image, your baselines, your update cadence. We execute it exactly — every device, every swap, every time — and sign the evidence back to your ITSM. Build Engineering and Build Maintenance don't apply; there is nothing to hand over. For IT departments that already run an automated build and want to keep it.

Path — Surya builds and maintains it

Build-time is ours. Run-time is yours.

We engineer the build we deploy — imaging, application packaging, enrollment, driver handling — every decision written into a build log you ratify before we ship on it. Build Maintenance keeps that build current: OS servicing in the image (keeping the operating system's monthly updates inside the standard setup), application packages, driver support. Maintenance of the build, never management of the estate — the constants above don't move.

Priced on the pricing page: Build Engineering at $200/hr, billed by the hour (time & materials); Build Maintenance as a quoted monthly line — both $0 on the customer-maintained path.

On either path, day two looks the same:

/ Surya owns

  • The device arriving imaged, enrolled, and matching the ratified build.
  • Hardware failures and the swap.
  • Build defects at deploy — a missing packaged application, a failed enrollment — including the re-swap.
  • Physical logistics, serialized custody, certified sanitization.

/ Your help desk owns

  • Everything on a running device.
  • User support. Application issues — a broken Outlook is a help-desk ticket, not a logistics ticket.
  • Identity and access.
  • Patching and policy on deployed devices.

/ The handoff

  • If a fresh swap doesn't match the ratified build, one call back to Surya and we re-provision.
  • Once the device matches the build and the user signs in, the desk owns it.
  • No gray zone, no finger-pointing.

/ Device Response Coverage

Same-day ship when a device fails.

Optional per-device coverage: a configured spare pool sized to your covered fleet, kept ready at the RTP hub and forward-staged at your sites. ITSM events by 2:00 PM ET ship the same business day. The rate is published on the pricing page.

/ the RTP hub

Configured, staged, and shipped from Research Triangle Park.

The RTP hub is our national configuration and distribution center — HIPAA-aligned, NIST 800-171-aligned operations, NIST 800-88 sanitization, and serialized custody from receipt to disposition. One national hub, spare pools staged at your sites. The physical operation is the moat.

/ Pricing

Priced per device. At market, in the open.

One meter — devices under management. Tiered from $20/device (250–499) down to $14/device (5,000+) as your fleet grows, with same-day Device Response included. $5,000/mo platform minimum — below 250 devices, the minimum is the price. Movements bill per event. Published rates, no dance.

/ Surya Critical

Some devices don't belong in a calculator.

This configurator prices the standard laptop fleet. Firewalls, HMIs, PLCs, and clinical peripherals — the operation-stopping devices beyond laptops — are Surya Critical: customer-owned, config-loaded spares under the same serialized custody, quoted in a working session, never configured online. An attach for fleet customers.
